Its that time of year again, and the annual community clean up was in full effect. Special thanks to Sutton carpet cleaners Fab Clean who sponsored the event. Their knowledge or cleaning particularly came in useful when it came to some stubborn carpet stains in the community hall.
First on the list to clean, was all the litter from the pavements and hedgerows. Approximately 15 black bin bags full off rubbish were filled in just a few hours. A stark reminder of how quickly rubbish can accumulate.
Second on the cleaning list was to clean all the community hall windows. Thankfully local Window Cleaners from The Cardiff Window Cleaning Company were on hand to use their reach and wash pole systems which made cleaning the higher to reach windows a great deal easier.
Finally a well deserved cake and coffee for all our volunteers rounded off a fantastic cleaning day for our community.
Lets try to keep litter down to a minimum and keep our wildlife safe. The results from the big clean are already fetching many comments. It is also possible I feel that our community could be put forward for a local cleaning award, if we keep this up. Its simple things like that help bring communities like ours together, and may long it continue.
